OutcomesThe following outcomes were realized during the period of 200_ to 200_:
- 98% of the Sanctuary children attending Duval Public School were promoted.
- 100% refrain from violent crime
- 100% refrain from teen parenthood
- 100% learn conflict resolution skills and improve their behavior
- 50% of our kids have been with us five years or more
- 100% of Sanctuary School students have near-perfect attendance
- 100% of Sanctuary School students have improved standardized test scores by 35%
- 100% of Sanctuary School Students have improved GPAs

Obstacles
· 65% of African American males will not graduate from high school.
· 65% of our children have a close family member in prison.
· 96% of our children qualify for free lunch.
· 50% of our children have been w/o electricity in the last 12 months.
· 85% of our children have little to no contact with their fathers.
· 40% of our children do not live with a parent.
· 90% of our children receive food stamps.
· 45% of our children are food insecure by the end of the month.
· 97% of our children attend high poverty schools, thus increasing the opportunity gap.
· All of our children live in generational poverty.
High quality after school programs and summer day camps keep children safe and connect them to opportunity. Providing not only a safe haven and academic remediation, they deliberately connect children to the myriad of opportunities in the larger society. Mentoring, field trips, involvement with higher education institutions and enrichment activities, including travel, and practice interacting in a variety of settings that middle-class children take for granted are critical components high quality programs.
